Specific info for MCAT prep/med school application preparation course:

  • Recommended timing: Jr year if applying senior year, or seniors if taking gap year
    • This course will likely be done before completing all necessary course work to take MCAT. It is ok if most courses, but not all are completed when taking this course.
  • MCAT prep
    • Take Kaplan and show x number modules ($1500+);
    • OR test from book, practice tests on website ($30)
    • Requirement: complete 2 practice tests
  • Application prep for common app for medical school
    • Write short personal statement (why should we pick you)
    • Pick 3 activities that they want to highlight – paragraph about each
    • Your proposal must include due dates for each draft and an email from a faculty member that has agreed to provide feedback on your drafts.
  • Structure: Students may meet as a group once a week to support each other (depends on number enrolled for this goal)

Specific info for LSAT prep/law school application preparation course:

  • Recommended timing: Jr year if applying senior year, or seniors if taking gap year
  • LSAT prep (choose from below options)
    • Take Kaplan and complete all sections ($899+);
    • Take LSAT Demon and submit a scheduled plan for 5 hours per day based on format of the program ($95 per month)
    • Take Magoosh and submit a schedule for 5 hours per day based on format of the program ($199 per month)
    • Take 7Sage and complete 4 sessions per day and a timed LSAT practice exam on the final day of Interim ($129 per month)
  • Application prep for Law School
    • Write Personal statement – 4 drafts  – one completed each week of Interim with a final draft submitted on the last day.  Your proposal should include due dates for each draft and an email from a faculty member that has agreed to provide feedback on your drafts.
  • Structure: Students may meet as a group once a week to support each other (depends on number enrolled for this goal)
