Prior to joining Wofford College\u2019s Physics Department, he served as Director of the University of Maryland\u2019s Systems Engineering Education Program (College Park), a Research Staff Member for the Institute for Defense Analyses, and in a variety of engineering leadership roles for Northrop Grumman and TRW, working on large complex systems of systems that included air and missile defense systems, wireless communications systems, sensor networks, and nuclear waste management. During this time, he also served as an adjunct professor of Systems Engineering at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
