How to get started on your new site

We've officially exited Beta Testing and have several faculty and staff members using WordPress to host their faculty sites. If you are interested in using WordPress to host your faculty or staff website please contact Craig Sudduth in Information Management at sudduthca@wofford.edu or 864-597-4174. Once your site is set up Craig will notify you and you can begin creating your content. Dr. Dave Whisnant has created instructions for WordPress that can be found on the Technology tab in myWofford. Dave is also available for one on one tutoring and you may contact him directly to set up a session.

Beta Testing

After the TNT Lunch on 24 February, we've officially entered Beta Testing for the new Faculty/Staff sites. We had several enthusiastic volunteers who will be creating their sites and using instructions provided by Dr. Dave Whisnant to make sure that we have all the bugs ironed out before we go live. We hope to exit beta testing sometime in late March or early April and open this program up to the campus at large.

For anyone who missed the initial TNT lunch, there will be an encore presentation on Wednesday, March 2 in AAAS at noon.

A Work in Progress…

The Office of Information Management is in the process of transforming the way that Wofford’s faculty and staff maintain and update their personal websites. We’re working with various members of the Wofford community to leverage the WordPress CMS to pull these sites into loose templates that provide a sense of unity but still allow for individual flexibility. As we continue this process we will work with Dr. Dave Whisnant to train members of the Wofford community so that they can control their sites.
