Bio
I received a B.A. in Chinese Language and Literature from Hanan University, an M.A. in Modern Chinese from Beijing Normal University, and an M.A. in Chinese Pedagogy from The Ohio State University. My Ph.D. in Chinese Pedagogy was earned at The Ohio State University. Prior to joining the faculty at Wofford College, I taught Chinese as a second/foreign language at Beijing Normal University, The Ohio State University, and University of Akron. I have participated as a trainer in various Chinese teacher training courses and workshops at K-12 and college levels. My research interests include Chinese language acquisition and pedagogy, teacher training, Chinese linguistics, technology in Chinese language education, and cross-cultural communication. I am a certified ACTFL OPI tester.
