I am honored to be one of the two recipients of Wofford’s Currie B. Spivey Award for exemplary volunteerism, 2016.

I have been a RESULTS volunteer since 2010. RESULTS is a non-partisan organization of committed and passionate everyday people who join their efforts to end poverty in the U.S and the world. We believe that governments and institutions know what to do to end poverty, it is political will that is missing. We do advocacy such as writing articles in the newspapers and meeting with our political representatives.  With our joined voices we can change the world.

In the past, I was a volunteer for YouthBASE for two years. I also volunteer in the community in different ways such as an English/Spanish interpreter in medical fairs and during registration day at schools.
